Life Member, Anthony M.
Kolich, 83, from Kansas City, Kansas passed away July 12,
2007. He was initiated October 10, 1955 and retired May 1,
1985. His son-in-law, Frank Hausback, is also a member of
Local 533. He’s been a member in good standing for over 51
years.

GOLF TOURNAMENT
Larry Mitchell's Memorial Golf Tournament will be
held at the Country Creek Golf Club (Hoots Hollow) in
Pleasant Hill, Missouri on Saturday, October 6, 2007, 8:00
A.M. Shot Gun Start. The cost is $50.00 per person (this
includes green fees, cart, lunch, drink tickets and prizes).

DIVERSIFIED INVESTMENT REMINDER
Bob Burks is
at the Union Hall every Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. to
4:30 P.M. and later at Union Meeting held the first Tuesday
night of each month.
TRAINING CENTER - IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Training Center is in the process of converting
all archived student records to digital images. If you would
like to have the original files from your apprenticeship,
please call and let us know at (816) 761-8800. The originals
will be shredded unless you make other arrangements.
FIVE YEAR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
The Training Center takes applications for the
Apprenticeship program the first Monday of each month from
8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M... If the first Monday is a holiday,
it will be the following Monday. Applications can only be
picked up that Monday, but may be returned any Monday
through Friday between 8:00 A.M. & 4:00 P.M. If you know
anyone interested in applying for the apprenticeship, please
have them call (816) 761-8800 and ask for the information
line where they can get additional information.
VALVE REPAIR JOURNEYMAN CLASS
The Training Center is looking at running a Valve Repair
Journeyman Class if we have enough participation. For
Journeyman members interested, please call the Training
Center at (816) 761-8800 to sign up.
ORBITAL WELDING CLASS
The Training Center is looking at running an Orbital
Welding Class if we have enough participation. For members
interested, please call the Training Center at (816)
761-8800 to sign up.
REFRIGERANT 410A SAFETY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
PROGRAM
The Training Center is providing Refrigerant 410A
Training and Certification Classes for members of
Pipefitters LU 533. Please contact the Training Center to
enroll in the class.
OSHA 10 CLASS will be offered, please contact the
Training Center at (816) 761-8800 to sign up.

including email addresses, mobile numbers and pager numbers.
These updates are critical in case of emergencies. Please
note that

RETIREES
On Wednesday, August
15TH, the Retirees will once again have their
annual ICE CREAM SOCIAL complete with flavors, cones,
sundaes, sprinkles and toppings. We will have our usual
luncheon at NOON, doors open at 11:00. As usual we ask you
to bring a covered dish and your own place settings, drinks
will be provided. Bring Cookies for dessert to go with the
ice cream. The always popular BINGO will be played; cash
prizes and great Baseball tickets with parking passes will
be given away. Get in out of the heat for a couple of hours.
Taste the great lunch that is always provided and visits
with old friends. We are looking forward to seeing everyone.
