ANNOUNCEMENTS
The proud grandparents, Steven and Cindy Clugston announce
another new grandbaby, September 7, 2009. David and Lindsay
Verbick became the proud parents of a baby boy, Ryder Lee.
He weighed 6 lbs. 8 oz. and 19” long at Heartland Regional
Medical Center in St. Joseph. Congratulations!

Ty and Paula Holler became the proud parents of a 8 lbs. 7
oz.
baby boy, Ethan Holler at Olathe Medical Center. He was 21"
long. He has an older sister, Abbie and brother, Cole.

On October 7, 2009,
Brandon and Lola Woods became the proud parents of a baby
boy, Braylon Michael Woods. He weighed 8 lbs. 1 oz. at 10:03
a.m., St. Lukes Hospital in Lees Summit. He has one older
brother,
Braydon Woods.

- RETIREES
The Pipe Fitter Retirees will meet on Wednesday, October 21,
2008. We will host the Service Awards for the Retired
Members
at this luncheon. Let's have a great turnout to honor these
awardees for their years of service to our trade and Local
Union. The Retirees’ club will be furnishing the meat. A
covered dish and a salad and/or a dessert are requested for
the potluck dinner. The doors are open by 11:00 a.m. and
lunch will be at noon. Please provide your own table
service. All retirees, awardees, wives, widows and guests
are urged to attend. See old friends and fellow pipefitters
for first rate camaraderie and great food. See You

PIPEFITTERS CONTINUING EDUCATION
Night classes will begin August 31st.
Journeymen may participate in Apprentice
classes, contact the Training Center for
details. Classes offered: Backflow
Certification (2nd semester), CAD,
Carbon Monoxide Safety and Awareness, Green
Awareness, Foreman Training, NFPA70E Safety,
Refrigerant 410A Safety, Rigging, Orbital
Welding and OSHA 10. Backflow
recertification class will be offered this fall.
Foreman Training class will begin on Monday,
August 31st at 6:00 P.M. Additional Journeyman
classes will be made available based on
enrollment and schedule. Please contact the
Training Center at (816) 761-8800 to enroll.
PIPEFITTERS APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM
Applications for the Apprenticeship Program will
only be available on the first Monday of every
month, unless that Monday is a holiday,
applications will then be available on the
following Monday. An application can be picked
up at the Training Center from 8:00 A.M. until
4:00 P.M. on the specified Monday only. An
application can be returned to the Training
Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M.
until 4:30 P.M.. Anyone interested in
information regarding the Training Center or the
Apprenticeship Program may call for information
at (816) 761-8800 or check the Training Center
