DEATH BENEFIT NUMBER AT L88
Member, Ralph L. Wilson, 69, of Overland Park, KS passed
away January 8, 2008.
He was initiated December 2, 1963 and retired November 1,
2000. He’s been a member in good standing for 44 Years.

YEAR
END STATEMENTS
The 2007 Year End Membership Statements will become
available and mailed by
mid February 2008. The Year End Statements cannot be created
until we have all of the December hours reported by the
Contractors.

MCA/PFAC
SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Letters for scholarship applications will be mailed in
a few weeks to the active journeyman pipefitters.
For members=
sons or daughters who will be graduating from high school in
2008 and interested in applying for the MCA/PFAC
scholarship, please call the MCA office at (816) 523-3341 or
to receive an official application form,
please write to the MCA/PFAC, 9229 Ward Parkway, Suite 270,
Kansas City, MO 64114.We ask that you pick up an application
soon, because other documents are required to
accompany the completed application forms by April 18,
2008.

DIVERSIFIED INVESTMENT REMINDER
Bob Burks is at the Union Hall every
Tuesday afternoon from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. and later at
Union Meeting held the first Tuesday night of each month.
- FIVE YEAR APPRENTICESHIP PROGRAM
The Training Center takes applications for the
Apprenticeship program the first Monday of each month from
8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M... If the first Monday is a holiday,
it will be the following Monday. Applications can only be
picked up that Monday, but may be returned any Monday
through Friday between 8:00 A.M. & 4:00 P.M. If you know
anyone interested in applying for the apprenticeship, please
have them call (816) 761-8800 and ask for the information
line where they can get additional information.
VALVE REPAIR JOURNEYMAN CLASS
The Training Center is looking at running a Valve Repair
Journeyman Class if we have enough participation. For
Journeyman members interested, please call the Training
Center at (816) 761-8800 to sign up.
ORBITAL WELDING CLASS The Training Center is looking at running an Orbital
Welding Class if we have enough participation. For members
interested, please call the Training Center at (816)
761-8800 to sign up.
REFRIGERANT 410A SAFETY TRAINING AND CERTIFICATION
PROGRAM The Training Center is providing Refrigerant 410A
Training and Certification Classes for members of
Pipefitters LU 533. Please contact the Training Center to
enroll in the class.
OSHA 10 CLASS will be offered, please contact the
Training Center at (816) 761-8800 to sign up.
INFORMATIONAL UPDATES Please notify the business
office for address, telephone number or beneficiary changes
including email addresses, mobile numbers and pager numbers.
These updates are critical in case of emergencies. Please
note that our business office will always
notify members of emergency calls from their families, but
we are also dependant on members to update our office with
this information. Please send your updated information to
the Pipefitters Business office at 8600 Hillcrest Rd.,

RETIREES
The
Pipefitter Retirees will meet on Wednesday, February 20,
2008. We will
celebrate Valentine’s Day. Doors open at 11:00 A.M. and
Potluck dinner at Noon. Please bring a main dish, salad or
dessert. Drinks will be provided. Also, please bring your
own table service. If you forget, no problem. We will
provide them. We will
