Birth Announcement Congratulations! On June
22, 2007, Mitchell Lanning and Braylynn became the proud
parents of a 7lb. 7 oz. baby boy, Caden James at St. Lukes
East. This is their first child. Caden’s grandfather, great
grandfather and uncle are Pipefitters and members of L.U.

Diversified Investment Reminder
Bob Burks is at the Union Hall every Tuesday
afternoon from 1:00 P.M. to 4:30 P.M. and later at Union
Meeting night which is the first Tuesday of each month.
Training Center - IMPORTANT NOTICE
The Training Center is in the process of
converting all archived student records to digital images.
If you would like to have the original files from your
apprenticeship, please call and let us know at (816)
761-8800. The originals will be shredded unless you make
other arrangements.
Five
Year Apprenticeship Program Training Center takes applications
for the Apprenticeship program the first Monday of each
month from 8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M... If the first Monday is a
holiday, it will be the following Monday. Applications can
only be picked up that Monday, but may be returned any
Monday through Friday between 8:00 A.M. & 4:00 P.M. If you
know anyone interested in applying for the apprenticeship,
please have them call (816) 761-8800 and ask for the
information line where they can get additional information.
Valve Repair Journeyman Class
The Training Center is looking at running a Valve Repair
Journeyman Class if we have enough participation. For
Journeyman members interested, please call the Training
Center at (816) 761-8800 to sign up.
Orbital Welding Class
The Training Center is looking at running an
Orbital Welding Class if we have enough participation. For
members interested, please call the Training Center at (816)
761-8800 to sign up.
Refrigerant 410A Safety Training and Certification Program
Training Center is providing Refrigerant 410A
Training and Certification Classes for members of
Pipefitters LU 533. Please contact the Training Center to
enroll in the class.
OSHA
10 Class
Will be offered, please contact the Training
Center at (816) 761-8800 to sign up.
Informational Updates
Please notify the business office for address, telephone
number or beneficiary changes including email addresses,
mobile numbers and pager numbers. These updates are critical
in case of emergencies. Please note that our business office
will always notify members of emergency calls from their
families, but we are also dependant on members to update our
office with this information. Please send your updated

Retirees The
Pipe Fitter Retirees will meet the third Wednesday, July
18th, at the union hall,
lower level. Doors open at 11:00 a.m. and Lunch served at
Noon. Our potluck will feature the always popular Crappie
Fry. A grill will be furnished for anyone who may prefer to
bring their own hamburgers or hot dogs and prepare them
there. A vegetable plus a salad and/or a dessert and your
own place settings, drinks will be provided. The always
popular BINGO will be played; cash prizes and great Baseball
tickets with parking passes will be given away. A special
invitation is extended to our disabled members to attend
along with retirees, wives, widows and guests for great food
and company. See you there!
