Farrel Douglas, 75, of Independence, Missouri passed away
February 25, 2009. He was initiated February 22, 1954 and
retired September 1, 1995. He’s been a member for 55 Years.

MCA/PFAC SCHOLARSHIP AWARDS
Letters for scholarship applications were mailed to the
active journeyman pipefitters. For members whose sons and
daughters will be graduating from high school in 2009 and
interested in applying for the MCA/PFAC scholarship, please
call the MCA office at (816) 523-3341 or to receive an
official application form, please write to the MCA/PFAC,
9229 Ward Parkway, Suite 270, Kansas City, MO 64114.We ask
that you pick up an application soon, because other
documents are required to accompany the
completed application forms by April 18, 2009.

- RETIREES
The
Pipe Fitter Retirees will celebrate St. Patrick's Day on
Wednesday, March 18, 2009. We'll have our usual potluck
dinner
at Noon. You're asked to bring an Irish dish such as Corned
Beef and Cabbage plus a side dish/salad or dessert for our
usual
potluck at noon. Drinks will be provided, please bring your
own table service. Doors open at 11:00 A.M. We'll have the
usual business meeting and then polish off the day with
several rounds of Bingo. Come, and try your "Luck o' the
Irish!”
Wives, widows and friends are always welcome. We hope to see
you there!

Journeyman classes (e.g.; 410A Refrigerant
Safety, Valve Repair, Orbital, OSHA) are
available based on enrollment and schedule.

PIPEFITTERS APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM
Applications for the Apprenticeship Program will
only be available on the first Monday of every
month, unless that Monday is a holiday,
applications will then be available on the
following Monday. An application can be picked
up at the Training Center from 8:00 A.M. until
4:00 P.M. on the specified Monday only. An
application can be returned to the Training
Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M.
until 4:30 P.M.. Anyone interested in
information regarding the Training Center or the
Apprenticeship Program may call for information
