SPECIAL
ORDER OF BUSINESS
at the Regular Membership meeting on Tuesday, May 5,
2009 at 7:00 P.M., 8600 Hillcrest Rd., Kansas City, MO,
Lower Level. The distribution of the $2.00 increase
of our current agreement due June 1, 2009 will be
discussed and voted on. There will be
NOMINATIONS
for the
GENERAL
ELECTION
of all Officers, all Board Members, and
for one Trustee for each of the following funds:
Pension, Health
& Welfare, and Savings whose term expire this year.
The ELECTION will be conducted Saturday, June 6,
2009 from 12:00 noon through 7:00 p.m. at 8600 Hillcrest
Rd., K.C., MO., lower level. Only eligible Journeymen
members in good standing, who have paid dues
through the month of March 2009, may vote. The election
will be supervised by the Kansas City Board of
Election Commissions with voting devices by secret
ballot. In the event of a tie vote and a run off
election is necessary, the run off election date will be
determined and members will be notified.
NOMINATORS
Only eligible Journeymen Pipefitters in good standing,
as provided in Local Union 533's By-Laws and the
United Association Constitution, who have paid dues
through the month of February 2009, prior to 7:00 p.m.
on May 5, 2009, are eligible to nominate candidates to
run for office. Any member who owes or has paid a
reinstatement fee (a late payment penalty)
one year prior to the date of the election will not be
eligible to nominate candidates or to vote at the
election.
NOMINEES
Candidates must be in good standing as indicated for
nominators for two years prior to the date of the
election and must accept nominations at the meeting or,
in lieu of being present,
candidates can be considered bonafide by accepting the
nominations in writing within five days of the
nomination
meeting.
JUDGES NEEDED
Any member who is retired or on disability
that is interested in being a judge, and have not
previously done
so should contact the hall at (816) 523-1533.

- RETIREES
The Pipefitter Retirees will
meet the third Wednesday, May 20th
at the union hall, lower level. Doors open at 11:00
a.m. and Lunch served at Noon. As usual we ask you to bring
a covered dish,
salad and/or dessert and your own place settings, drinks
will be provided. Come early and do a lot of visiting. A
special invitation is extended to our disabled members to
attend along with retirees, wives, widows and guests for
great food and company. See you there!

available based on enrollment and schedule. |

PIPEFITTERS APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM
Applications for the Apprenticeship Program will
only be available on the first Monday of every
month, unless that Monday is a holiday,
applications will then be available on the
following Monday. An application can be picked
up at the Training Center from 8:00 A.M. until
4:00 P.M. on the specified Monday only. An
application can be returned to the Training
Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M.
until 4:30 P.M.. Anyone interested in
information regarding the Training Center or the
Apprenticeship Program may call for information
