BIRTH ANNOUNCEMENT
On June 15, 2009, Trace and Rebecca Stone became the proud
parents of a baby girl, Taylor. She was 8 lbs. and 21 1/2”
long.
She has an older sister, Jordan. Congratulations!

DEATH BENEFIT NUMBER AT M11
James J. Jolly, 95, of Kansas City, Missouri passed away
June 15, 2009. He was initiated July 27, 1949 and retired
June 1, 1984. He’s been a member for 59 years.
DEATH BENEFIT NUMBER AT M12
David W. Matthews, 61, of Shawnee, Kansas passed away June
18, 2009. He was initiated February 3, 1981 and retired
November 1, 2006. He’s been a member for 28 years.
DEATH BENEFIT NUMBER AT M13
John J. Martin, 49, of Grain Valley, Missouri passed away
June 29, 2009. He was initiated April 7, 1981 and retired
January 1, 2006. He’s been a member for 28 years. His
father, Orville Martin is also a member of the Local.

Wednesday, July 15th the Pipefitter Retirees will
have their
regular luncheon at 12:00 noon, as usual we ask you to bring
a covered dish and your own place settings, drinks will be
provided.
I would like to thank everyone that helped with the “June
Crappie Fry” especially those fishermen that brought all the
crappie. It
was good to see some new faces and all the regulars, looking
forward to seeing everybody at the July meeting, come early
and enjoy visiting with everyone.

OSHA 10 CLASS – JULY 25, 2009
This one day class on Saturday, July 25th
2009 will be offered to the first 250
enrolled. Reminder: Beginning August 28, 2009
this is required on all public works projects in

Journeyman classes (e.g.; 410A Refrigerant
Safety, Valve Repair, Orbital, OSHA) are
available based on enrollment and schedule.
PIPEFITTERS APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM
Applications for the Apprenticeship Program will
only be available on the first Monday of every
month, unless that Monday is a holiday,
applications will then be available on the
following Monday. An application can be picked
up at the Training Center from 8:00 A.M. until
4:00 P.M. on the specified Monday only. An
application can be returned to the Training
Center Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M.
until 4:30 P.M.. Anyone interested in
information regarding the Training Center or the
Apprenticeship Program may call for information
