DEATH BENEFIT NUMBER AT M59
Life Member, Marvin E Fisher, 80, of Independence MO passed
away September 25, 2011. He was initiated October 10, 1955,
retired August 1, 1978. He’s been a member for 55 years.

REMINDER
Bob
Burks is at the Union Hall every Tuesday afternoon
from 1:00 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., and from 1:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. the
first Tuesday of each month, during regular Membership
Meetings.
He
is available to meet individually with members
who have
questions or who need assistance with their Diversified portfolios. If
you wish to discuss your portfolio, stop by and visit with Bob
or give him a call at 913-451-3545 to schedule an appointment.

RETIREES
The Pipe Fitter Retirees will meet on Wednesday, October 19,
2011. We will host the Service Awards for the Retired
Members
at this luncheon. Let's have a great turnout to honor these
awardees for their years of service to our trade and Local
Union. The Retirees’ club will be furnishing the meat. A
covered dish
and a salad and/or a dessert are requested for the potluck
dinner. The doors are open by 11:00 a.m. and lunch will be
at
noon. Please provide your own table service. All retirees,
awardees, wives, widows and guests are urged to attend. See
old friends and fellow pipefitters for first rate
camaraderie and great food. See You There!

PIPEFITTERS CONTINUING EDUCATION CLASSES
Journeyman interested in continuing education classes should
contact the Training Center for details. Some classes
include: Backflow Certification, CAD, Carbon Monoxide Safety
&
Awareness, Codes, Green Awareness, Foreman Training, Lead
Awareness, NFPA70E Safety, Refrigerant 410A Safety, Rigging,
Orbital Welding, High Purity Piping Installation & Brazing
and OSHA 10 & 30. Additional classes will be made available
based
on enrollment and schedule.

PIPEFITTERS APPRENTICESHIP
PROGRAM Applications for the Apprenticeship Program are
available on the first Monday of each month, if
that Monday is a holiday, applications will then
be available on the following Monday. An
application can be picked up at the Training
Center from 8:00
A.M. until 4:00 P.M. on the
specified Monday only. An application can be
returned to the Training Center Monday through
Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 4:30 P.M. Anyone
interested in information regarding the Training
Center or the Apprenticeship Program
