(127) George F. Bigelow, 88, of Kansas City, KS passed away on October 3, 2024. He was initiated 4/11/1960 (64 years of service), retired 3/1/1997 and became a Life Member 4/11/2010. He is survived by his wife, Carol, two daughters, Laurie Ishmael (Spencer Ishmael is a Local 533 Pipefitter) and Jaina Shafer (Jim Shafer). Two grandsons, three great-grandchildren and his sister, Twyla Weien. A visitation will be held Friday, October 11, 2024, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chapel Hill – Butler Funeral Home at 701 North 94th Street, Kansas City, Kansas 66112, followed by a funeral service at 12:00 PM.  Online Condolences can be made here.

(126) Steven D. Yates, 82, of Merriam, KS passed away September 13, 2024. He was initiated 8/13/1962 (62 years of service). Steven attended and completed the Pipefitters Apprenticeship, 8/13/1962 – 12/12/1966 and became a Journeyman 12/13/1966. He retired 1/15/2003 and became a Life Member 8/13/2012. He is survived by his wife, Joanne Yates, daughter Polly Yates and son, Steve Yates, Jr. 

Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 6:00 PM till 8:00 PM at Maple Hill Funeral Home, located at 3300 Shawnee Dr., Kansas City, KS 66106.  Funeral service will be held on Friday, September 27, 2024, at 10:00 AM at the Maple Hill Funeral Home.
